Control Tower Global (CTG) announced the appointment of James Pearson as Chief Growth Officer (CGO). Pearson will lead CTG’s growth strategy across the Australian Defence Force (ADF), Humanitarian Aid agencies, NGOs, and Defence Industry partners as the company scales its mission to deliver real-time supply chain visibility for complex projects, sustainment, and emergency response logistics.
“I’ve had the privilege of knowing and serving alongside James since our time together at OCS Portsea. He is a deeply respected leader, whose expertise in defence logistics, sustainment, and national support makes him an exceptional addition to our leadership team,” said Mike Billingham, CEO of Control Tower Global. “James’s unparalleled defence and industry experience—spanning frontline military operations, major defence programs like Collins Class submarines, and complex logistics environments—perfectly aligns with CTG’s mission to provide unmatched visibility and control in high-stakes supply chains. His leadership will be instrumental as we expand into Defence, addressing key challenges facing programs of concern and supporting Australia’s sovereign industrial capability.”
Pearson brings over three decades of leadership in defence logistics, sustainment, and supply chain management, including senior roles with Raytheon Australia, the Joint Defence Facility Pine Gap (JDFPG), and as an Australian Army officer graduating First in Class from OCS Portsea and receiving the Governor-General’s Medal, and later serving as a Logistics instructor at the Royal Military College, Duntroon, and the U.S. Army School of Transportation and Logistics. He has managed significant Defence supply chain transformation projects, including the Collins Submarine Supply Support Enhancement Program, and has worked closely with the Commonwealth of Australia to deliver sustained capability outcomes. As an advocate for sovereign defence industry, he knows the sector needs solutions that enhance and not limit operational effectiveness.
“Control Tower Global has developed a game-changing solution for real-time visibility and control of complex supply chains—something the Australian Defence Force and Defence Industry urgently need to reduce risk, improve responsiveness, and deliver outcomes on time and on budget,” said Pearson. “From supporting programs of concern to enabling more resilient sovereign supply chains, CTG’s platform gives Government, Defence and Industry partners the ability to see, manage, and respond to supply chain and logistics challenges as they happen – in real time. I’m excited to help Defence and Industry move beyond traditional supply chain blind spots and deliver the next generation of capability support.”
